Roald Dahl


Roald Dahl was born on 13 September 1916 in Llandaf, Zuid Wales.

At home Roald spoke Norwegian because his parants Harald Dahl and Sofie Magdalene Dahl-Hesselberg.

After his sister and his father died they decided do stay in England. They only went to Norway in holidays.

When the WO2 started, Roald joined the army. He was a pilot. In 1941 Roald was kicked out of the army after a heavy head injury.

He started with writing when he was in Washington with the army.

After the army he married and he had 5 children. Later he divorced and re-married again.

He died in 1990 in Oxford from leukemia.

Roald Dahl writed a lot of books, For children and adults, his most famous works are Matilda and Sjakie and the chocolate factory.
