For English we had to choose a book and make bookreport about it.

So after school i went to the library and i saw The Witches from Roald Dahl.

I had seen the movie and the movie was very amusing.

So i decided to also read the book because many people say that the stories in books are always better then in movies.

Also i have read more from Roald Dahl, and his books are very amusing, so i thought The Witches should be very amusing to.

I think that i liked the book really. It was maybe a little bit childish but its still very amusing. The story is very interesting and the writing style was also nice. Only sometimes the book was a little bit lengthy.

The book is about a young boy named Luke, who lost his parents. On holiday he finds out that he is stuck with all the witches from England in the hotel. Luke changes into a mouse and does everything to kill all the witches from England.

He does that together with his grandma. I really liked the part when they putted the poison in the soupe. It was a very exciting part.

 

I liked the story really , it wasn't boring. And however normally i don't like books like this, i liked this one for sure.

The story was weird but amusing, the story had nice twists for example Luke changing into a mouse. And also it was sometimes really exciting for example when Luke hides for the witches.

 

I really liked the writing style. It was most of the time not lengthy and it was just fine to read.

Everything was clear and well explained.

 

Sometimes the book was a little bit lengthy, for example when the parents died and luke moved in by his grandma.

The book was then a little bit boring but it wasn't that worse. After that it wasn't really worse anymore.  Maybe it's just me that i think  the book is a bit lengthy.

 

So the book has a really nice and amusing story. The writing style is also very fine. Only sometimes the book is a bit lengthy.

But i would surely recommend this book. I think even adults would like it despite it is written for children.
